INSTRUCTIONS OF HOW TO SIGN INTO CHARMS

All workers earn $25 towards their students accounts by working in the concession stand AFTER they work the first one for the band.

Please note, if you work the Civic Center, you must be willing to serve beer, run the cash drawer, be trained on the booths paperwork and cash counting.

When you register for these events please place behind your name if the $25 is to be credited to a Band member or a Color Guard member.

Students who are 18 can work at the Civic Center. You must come prepared to work and be professional. You must be respectful to the parent/adult workers at ALL times.

What can YOU do as parents?

1.  Be an example. Children watch – and they will emulate what they see.

2Stress the importance of dedication and committment.  It's the foundation for success.

3Let them know they are exceptional, so exceptional results are expected.

4Exhibit a sense of community through participation. Giving back is a great reward.

The West Florida HS Band Booster organization is the primary means of financial support for the entire Band program. They meet regularly in the Band Room at 6:00 PM on the second Tuesday of every month. All parents are invited to attend – you don't have to be a Board Member to come to the Booster meetings! In order for the Band to reach its full potential, parental participation is a must! There are many different ways to help; you can chaperone at games, contests, or trips; help plan fund-raising activities; load instruments and equipment, or work concession stands. The successful operation of the band program depends on our parents!

Interested in Chaperoning?
We require all chaperones to be either a parent or legal guardian. Parents interested in volunteering must attend a chaperone training meeting set up and run by the Director, as well as fill out the school system's "Affidavit of Good Moral Character." Contact the Chaperone Coordinator (see the list below) to volunteer for specific events or venues. Bear in mind that the only people allowed to chaperone out-of-town events are those with experience at events closer to home (concession stands or in the stands with the band).
