GRADUATION PERFORMANCE!!!!

Be at the CIVIC CENTER @3:15 on June 4th

Graduation STARTS at 4:00 PM!

Instructions:

1) Do NOT bring cases.

2) BRING MUSIC and instrument.

3) Percussion equipment will be provided.

4) Tubas will be brought to the civic center.

5) You will need to be picked up at 5:45 PM

6) There will not be a bus for the students to ride to the Civic Center.

7) Wear SOMETHING NICE (Concert attire)

Here are the dates for this SUMMER.

FRESHMAN, DRUMLINE AND COLOR GUARD CAMP

June 11-14th and June 18-21st at WFHS Band Room from 8am-noon.
ALL BAND Evening Rehearsal – July 10, 17, 24th at
WFHS 6:00 – 8:30 pm!
ALL BAND Monday July 30th – Thursday, August 2nd , 1pm – 9pm at WFHS
(Friday, Aug. 3 – 8am Band Pictures TBA- possible)
ALL BAND Monday August 6th – Thursday, August 9th , 1pm – 9pm at WFHS (Friday, Aug. 10 – 8am Band Pictures TBA- possible)
1:00 PM - 4:30 PM INDOORS
4:30 PM - 5:30 PM DINNER
5:30 PM - 9:00 PM OUTDOORS
ALL BAND Tuesday, August 14 – 6pm - TBA Tentative Parent Preview Night

There will be a Band Booster meeting on Tuesday, May 22 at 6:00pm.
 
There wull be a Board Meeting on Tuesday, May 22nd at 5:00 at the Band Room.
 

We will discuss actions for our first June meeting for EVERYONE, including new parents. 

We have alot on the agenda for that meeting:

1) Winn Dixie - fundraiser to be held on May 26.... I need two people to staff each location as chaperones... (4 people)  I am still trying to confirm the 2nd location at Perdido.

2) Band Fees - clarify amount and early payment options plus payment plans...

3) Band Camp

4) Volunteer Sign-ups (sheets will be available)  This includes chaperones, concession, band uniform helpers, rental truck drivers, band camp helpers, etc., Senior Night, Parades, Chili Cook off, any Trips
Carpool lists
water donation requirements

5) We need to order our own seat cushions

SMART MUSIC is a yearly subscription that can make your practice time less mundane and more productive! The cost per month is less than what you probably would pay for lunch at a fast food restuarant. I HIGHLY recommend that you check it out!!! This is something that EVERY student should have in order to get the most out of their practice time.

 

A Note from Mr. Krostag

EVERYONE will be required to attend Band Camp during the summer. IF your student cannot attend some of the times for any reason, please contact Mr. Krostag to make arrangements so your student can still be in band!

ALSO!! Go to our Facebook page and ask to join! In the search box on facebook, type WFHS Jaguar Band - Pensacola and you will come to our page -- ask to join! We do tons of communicating on FB and Email as well as through our main site!

***If your student plays an instrument not typically thought of as a "Marching Band" instrument, such as piano, guitar, etc., WE HAVE A NEED FOR THEM, TOO! We use these instruments in marching band! Come check us out!! Don't limit yourselves!
